Key Responsibilities

• Dotmac Technologies is seeking a skilled and committed Fiber Engineer to join our technical team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong experience in fiber optic installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of our network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables for both underground and aerial networks.
• Perform routine maintenance, fault detection, and troubleshooting on fiber connections.
• Conduct site surveys, prepare reports, and provide technical feedback for network projects.
• Ensure proper documentation of network routes, materials used, and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to safety standards and company procedures during field operations.
• Collaborate with the NOC (Network Operations Center) and project teams to ensure service quality and timely resolution of issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fiber optic installation or maintenance.
• Proficiency in using OTDR, power meter, and splicing machines.
• Good understanding of FTTx networks and optical signal transmission.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
