Factory Manager at Talent Lab Limited

Job Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the fashion production unit (bespoke & RTW).
• Ensure garments are produced to the highest quality standards while meeting strict timelines.
• Oversee staff scheduling, task allocation, and performance management of tailors, cutters, designers, and support staff.
• Collaborate with the design team to align production with creative direction and client expectations.
• Monitor inventory of fabrics, trims, and accessories, ensuring cost-effective procurement and usage.
• Implement effective workflow systems that improve speed, reduce errors, and optimize output.
• Liaise with management on expansion projects across African markets and ensure smooth execution of cross-border operations.
• Prepare operational and production reports for management decision-making.
• Uphold brand values by ensuring discretion, professionalism, and premium service standards in all operations.

Requirements

• Academic qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Production Management, Fashion, or related field.
• Professional experience: experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in factory, fashion production, or general operations management, preferably in the apparel industry.
• Must be a resident in Abuja.

Core competencies:

• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to manage both skilled and semi-skilled staff.
• Excellent understanding of garment production processes (pattern-making, cutting, tailoring, finishing, quality control).
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Tech-savvy with working knowledge of MS Office; familiarity with fashion ERP or production software is an advantage.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion, especially when dealing with high-profile clientele.
