Facility Officer at S-TEE Schools

Job Overview:

The Facility Officer will be responsible for the overall maintenance and management of the school’s facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that the school environment remains clean, safe, and well-maintained, supporting the smooth operation of school activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all school facilities, including classrooms, offices, playgrounds, and other infrastructure. Coordinate with contractors and service providers as needed.
• Safety and Security: Ensure that all school facilities comply with health and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and manage the implementation of security measures.
• Resource Management: Manage the inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Ensure that all facilities are adequately stocked and operational.
• Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external vendors for services such as cleaning, waste management, pest control, and repairs. Monitor service delivery to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Facility Upkeep: Supervise the cleaning and maintenance staff, ensuring that all areas of the school are kept clean and orderly. Address any facility-related issues promptly.
• Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of the facilities budget. Monitor expenses and ensure that maintenance operations are cost-effective.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to any facility-related emergencies, such as power outages, water supply issues, or structural damage.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in facility management, maintenance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
