Facility Manager at Farm City

Description

• We are seeking a proactive, technically skilled, and experienced Facility Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, functionality, and general upkeep of our restaurant and game arcade facility.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all building systems, equipment, utilities, furniture, fixtures, gaming facilities, and other physical assets are maintained in good working condition to support smooth daily operations and an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and general upkeep of the restaurant, game arcade, offices, back-of-house areas, and other facility spaces.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify faults, damages, safety risks, and maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning/HVAC, generators, water systems, lighting, drainage, and other building systems.
• Ensure all arcade machines, equipment, fixtures, furniture, fittings, and other facility assets are properly maintained and functional.
• Respond promptly to facility breakdowns and coordinate repairs to minimise operational downtime.
• Supervise technicians, artisans, cleaners, contractors, and other facility service providers.
• Liaise with external vendors and contractors for repairs, servicing, installations, and maintenance projects.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, repairs, equipment servicing, and facility-related expenses.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all major equipment and facility systems.
• Monitor the condition and performance of generators, air conditioners, refrigeration systems, water pumps, electrical systems, and other critical equipment.
• Ensure proper waste management, pest control, sanitation, and general environmental upkeep.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, and environmental standards.
• Identify potential hazards and ensure corrective measures are implemented promptly.
• Monitor the use of facility-related materials, spare parts, tools, and consumables.
• Assist management in preparing maintenance budgets and controlling facility-related costs.
• Ensure contractors and service providers deliver quality work within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Handle facility-related emergencies and coordinate immediate corrective action.
• Provide regular reports to management on the condition of the facility, outstanding repairs, maintenance activities, and recommendations.
• Carry out any other facility-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• HND/B.Sc. in Facility Management, Engineering, Estate Management, Building Technology, or a related field.
• Experience supervising technicians, artisans, contractors, and service providers.
• Ability to identify faults and coordinate timely repairs.
• Good knowledge ofsafety, and environmental standards.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to facility emergencies.
• Must be proactive, reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in a restaurant, hotel, recreational centre, game arcade, or entertainment facility will be an added advantage.
• HSE certification or relevant technical certification is an added advantage.
