    Facility Manager

    Job Summary

    • We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Facility Manager to join our team at [Your Supermarket Name] in Lagos. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and operation of our supermarket facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment for both customers and employees.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance plan for all building systems and equipment, including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
    • Oversee the daily maintenance and repair of the facility, coordinating with vendors and contractors as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and health regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions.
    • Manage the supermarket's budget for maintenance and repairs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective service.
    • Monitor utility consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
    • Oversee janitorial staff and ensure the cleanliness of the entire supermarket.
    • Respond promptly to facility emergencies and incidents, taking necessary actions to minimize disruption.
    • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and service calls.
    • Assist with the implementation of new store layouts and equipment installations.

    Requirements

    • 2 - 3 years of experience in a facility management role, preferably within a retail setting.
    • First degree or equivalent
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful preventive maintenance plans.
    • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and safety regulations
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and manage time effectively
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • A valid driver's license (may be required)
