The Facility Maintenance Officer is responsible for the routine maintenance (internal and external) of all Mantrac Nigeria Facilities in Lagos, ensuring that it meets legal requirements and applicable HSE standards.
To support the Facility Manager in providing a clean, safe and secure working environment, oversees the operation and maintenance of buildings and their services.
The post holder will line manage and supervise the Facilities Team and Cleaning Supervisor on site.
Main Functions
Responsible for the operational management of the day-to-day activities of the Facilities Team on site.
Support the Facilities Manager in the day-to-day running of the site including any events.
Alongside the Facilities Manager undertake regular routine site inspections to identify any potential issues.
Monitor, inspect and check site facility services, to identify and highlight any areas of concern or variance and intervene to ensure optimal performance.
Sourcing contractors and suppliers for repairs, maintenance, cleaning, renovations, waste disposal etc.
Prepare monthly facility maintenance report and share with Facility Manager
Monitor contractors on site to ensure safe systems of work and safe procedures are being adhered to and that health & Safety requirements for each job are adhered to.
Work with the cleaning team to ensure the workplace is always kept clean and safe.
Ensure that buildings and site facilities are in good condition and that furniture, materials and equipment are made available, stored and are safe and in good repair prior to and on completion of use.
Maintain an up-to-date record of all facility related equipment and ensure regular auditing of same
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach with hands and arms, climb ladders, crawling in/through low spaces.
Tasks include the need for hand finger dexterity, reading and writing, lifting and moving furniture and related equipment, heavy equipment etc.
