    Facilities Maintenance Officer

    Job Objective

    • Responsible for the security, maintenance, and services of work facilities to ensure that they meet the needs of the organization, employees, and clients.

    Job Responsibilities

    • To oversee all building-related activities. Responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensuring that facilities are safe and functioning properly.
    • Plan and coordinate all installations and refurbishments
    • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
    • Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
    • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
    • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
    • Carryout daily checks on the generator to ensure adequate water and oil level
    • Ensure timely servicing of the generators
    • Maintain a diesel stock level that allows optimal functionality of the generators.
    • Carryout daily routine inspections on the entire facility
    • Ensure basic facilities such as power, water, restroom, and security are well maintained
    • Maintain accurate records of equipment functioning status and other systems within the facility.
    • Monitor renovations or refurbishments within the facility
    • Report any fault or damage to the Admin Manager promptly
    • Take diesel delivery and keep a stock record
    • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Line Manager.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Administration or any related discipline.
    • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Facility Maintenance Officer
    • Ability to resolve first-line mechanical and electrical faults
    • Ability to work day and night shifts on a rotational basis.
    • Good communication and influencing skills, in person and in writing.
    • Analytical, problem-solving skills and decision-making.
    • The ability to supervise teams and projects.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Good analytical or critical thinking skills.
    • Must be well organized, detailed and customer (internal and external) oriented.
