Export Supervisor at OnePyramid

JOB OVERVIEW

• Our Client, a multinational in the FMCG sector, is seeking to hire an Export Supervisor responsible for overseeing and managing all export operations within the company.
• This includes ensuring timely and efficient shipment processing, ensuring seamless coordination between customers, vendors, carriers, customs authorities, and internal teams. Corresponding with customers and sharing timely updates, in line with maintaining high service levels for clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and coordinate all export shipments, ensuring smooth operations from booking to final delivery.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
• Manage and monitor documentation processes, including Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin
• Work closely with clearing officers, shipping lines and transporters to ensure seamless movement of cargo.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues related to shipments.
• Coordinate with clients to provide shipment updates and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, shipping lines, and logistics partners.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with service providers to optimize costs.
• Prepare and analyse reports on export performance, shipment status, and operational efficiency.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure proper record-keeping and documentation for audits and compliance.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Additional certifications such as Certified Export Specialist (CES) or Customs Broker License are advantageous.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in export operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Prior experience in supervisory or team leadership roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with international trade laws and customs regulations is essential.
• Proficiency in export documentation, including but not limited to commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and export declarations.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and their application in international trade.
• Familiarity with shipping software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and other related tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact and coordinate with external parties, including freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government agencies.
• Strong negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers, customers, and logistics providers.
