Pursuing new and repeat catering, events and activation business opportunities that fit the catering sales parameters.
Booking, selling, planning and coordinating all special social events while assuring the highest level of customer service.
Generating revenue, establishing new accounts, monitoring booking space, booking repeat business while keeping quality consistently high, conducting catering sales presentations and catering sales calls also falls under the purview of the role.
Establishing a strong networking presence with potential clients and events management contacts across the country.
Representing the company at events.
Assisting in the development of catering & event menus and pricing.
Discussing contract requirements with customers
Estimate food needs, place orders with stores, and schedule the delivery of food and supplies.
Preparing project profit & loss statements.
Preparing potential client proposals.
Provide essential strategies for growth and development of the business.
Weekly and monthly business records
Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues. Direct hiring, supervision, development and, when necessary, termination of employees.
Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews.
Provide strong presence in local community and high level of community involvement by restaurant and personnel.
Assume additional responsibilities as assigned
Experience / Education Required:
Diploma or College degree is preferred. A Bachelor of Science degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable. A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative.
Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel).
Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
Leadership experience in fine dining or catering services required.
Personal Requirements:
Track record of developing long term relationships.
Must be capable to bring new business to the Company.
Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of various catering sectors i.e. camps, industries, corporate, educational, social, etc.
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends.
