    Event Designer/Coordinator

    JOB SUMMARY

    • Organize and manage events: physical and virtual for the organisation.
    • Planning events, inviting target audiences, and keeping the desired audience coming.
    • Generation of event ideas for marketing different products and venues.
    • Manage the preparation for upcoming events. Knowledge of methods in setting up/tearing down events, housekeeping/cleaning techniques of large public facilities, exhibiting and showing utilities
    • Accurately prepare event estimates and budgets.
    • Properly execute in a timely fashion all back-end paperwork related to events, i.e., post-event notes, photo uploads, etc.
    • Inspect buildings and specific meeting areas to evaluate suitability for occupancy, considering such factors as air circulation, lighting, location, room size, and event requirements.
    • Ensure that the equipment, physical set-up, and personnel provided meet the requirements of the event and the tenant’s contractual agreement.
    • Develop assignment schedules for staffing requirements for the proper presentation of events.

    REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

    • 1st Degree (1st Class or 2nd Class) in Social Sciences or any relevant courses.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position

    REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES

    • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
    • Good written, verbal and computer skills.
    • Work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include weekends, and holidays.
    • A team player with sound leadership abilities
