Job Overview

• The English Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging English lessons that enhance students’ language, writing, and communication skills while fostering creativity, confidence, and a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum.
• Teach English effectively to secondary school students.
• Assess, record, and report on students’ academic progress.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
• Create an interactive, engaging, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Support extracurricular activities and language development programs.
• Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe learning atmosphere.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of NCE, B.Ed., or B.A. in English Language, Education, or related field.
• At least 1 year of teaching experience in a recognized school.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Strong classroom management and lesson delivery skills.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring young learners.
• Must reside within or near Oko Afo, Badagry LGA.
