    Embryologist Trainee

    Job Description

    • The Embryologist Trainee will support the Fertility Centre’s clinical and laboratory teams in delivering high-quality assisted reproductive services.
    • The role involves hands-on learning and participation in core laboratory activities, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and ethical standards.
    • The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about reproductive medicine and laboratory science.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in preparing the laboratory for various fertility procedures under supervision.
    • Support the stock requisition process, including the management and proper storage of media and consumables.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of all laboratory and clinical procedures.
    • Participate in key Fertility Centre activities and learning sessions.
    • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, infection control, and quality management protocols.
    • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling patient and clinical data.
    • Collaborate effectively with laboratory scientists, clinicians, and other team members to achieve departmental goals.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc. in Biological Sciences or a related field (e.g., Biochemistry, Microbiology, Physiology, Anatomy).
    • 1 – 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a laboratory or healthcare setting.
    • Must have completed the mandatory NYSC program.
    • Strong attention to detail and good record-keeping skills.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Willingness to learn and develop professionally in reproductive and clinical laboratory science.
    • Must currently reside in Warri, Delta State.
