Electrical Technician at Kuhl-Cher Limited

JOB SUMMARY

A reputable organization in the Oil & Gas sector requires suitable candidates for this position. The Electrical Technician will work with a technical team to carry out preventive and routine maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.

• Minimum Qualification: OND
• Experience Level: Entry level
• Experience Length: 1-2 years

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with the maintenance team to carry out diagnosis, and repair of electricalequipment, for sustained performance.
• Performing maintenance and required upgrade of the existing electrical infrastructure, under supervision.
• Trouble shooting o identifying electrical wiring faults, and hazards in the company’s facilities, and repair under supervision.
• Repairing and maintaining engine generators and carrying out work on related control circuit equipment, with senior colleagues.
• Working with the maintenance team to ensure zero power outage,caused by faulty electrical equipment.
• Keeping records, preparing maintenance reports, and requisitioning supplies and parts, upon approval.
• Ensuring that work tools are always kept safely.
• Carrying out any other assignments that may from time to time be given by the supervising Electrical Engineer.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Strong technical background. OND/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, City & Guild Certificate or Trade Test (I-III) Certificates.
• Must have a minimum of one yeartechnical working experience.
• Must have a good understanding of the power industry
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
• Ability to use a computer and relevant software tools
• A keen eye for details, and an excellent memory
• Ability to learn fast and follow laid down procedures
• Ability to work well in a team by complementing existing strengths.
