Job Description

• We are looking for an experienced, driven electrical engineer with a wealth of industry knowledge in renewable energy.
• The electrical engineer should be a critical thinker and have sound subject knowledge of mathematics and physics to identify and solve engineering problems.
• You must also possess a certain level of creativity in order to present innovative solutions and improvements to technical processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical engineering codes.
• To represent and do follow up meeting on projects or other technical matters within and without
• To give report on project update on all meeting within
• Perform confidential scrutiny of sub-contractors’ quotation/payment and site Engineer/Project Manager’s request
• Discuss project progress/challenges with subcontractors & PM and update
• Assess potential risks, materials and costs
• Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies
• Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders
• Handle over the resulting structures and services for use
• Monitor progress and compile reports in project status
• Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials
• Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• COREN, PMP certification is an added advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years of industry knowledge desired.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Leadership skills to effectively manage a diverse group of professionals working on one project.
• Ability to coordinate more than one project at a time.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
