The ideal candidate will be responsible for all Electrical systems in the Power Plant and provide the necessary routine maintenance and ensure 100% availability of the plant systems.
Responsibilities
Oversee the Electrical team in resolving issues highlighted as part of analysis from the planning and efficiency team.
Ensure high availability of all Electrical equipment and systems in the power plant.
Minimize cost of maintenance of the plant and optimize equipment lifecycle cost.
Supervision of maintenance measures in Electrical maintenance unit and ensuring quality maintenance.
Respond to any electrical equipment malfunction or breakdown.
Ensure proper record of faults and repairs on plant electrical systems.
Ensure availability of spares and other infrastructure for maintenance.
Minimize response time to the Operations unit for handling routine day-to-day problems.
Optimize Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
Plan resource requirements for electrical maintenance–manpower, materials, and contracts.
Qualifications
First degree Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the Power Industry.
Member of COREN, Post Graduate degree and other certifications are added advantages.
Experience in a Power plant of minimum 20MW capacity.
Experience in any other oil and gas process or production facility.
Skills/knowledge
Technical knowledge of all electrical systems.
Understanding of working of equipment and history of equipment.
Knowledge of standard operating procedures with respect to maintenance of Electrical system.
Good knowledge of troubleshooting and maintenance of switchgears, motors, UPS/DC systems.
Technical trouble shooting and ability to identify root cause of problems to avoid recurrence.
Knowledge of safety requirements and environmental aspects of power generation.
Knowledge of modern maintenance management practices and spares inventory management.
Knowledge of statutory guidelines related to electrical equipment Knowledge of Engineering.
Experience in Low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems. Experience in 132KV HV systems is an added advantage.
Skilled in maintenance planning, scheduling, and technical reporting.
Ability to carry out preventive and proactive interventions of plant electrical systems using OEM design schematics with minimal supervision.
