    Electrical Engineer

    Location:  Ogijo

    Job Summary:

    An experienced candidate who has performed the role of Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring reliable operation, preventive maintenance, and timely repair of electrical systems and equipment. This role involves diagnosing electrical issues, implementing maintenance strategies, and supporting continuous improvement to reduce downtime and enhance equipment performance.

    Responsibilities

    • To make engine and auxiliaries ready for start at any time.
    • To carry out checking of engine, alternator, air compressors, air filters, GRU, gas station, radiator etc., as per the daily check list.
    • To take all readings on auxiliaries and inform if there is any deviation to shift engineer and correct it as per engineer’s advice.
    • To fill in the daily logbook and maintain records. 
    • To carry out inspection of engine and auxiliaries during starting of shift and every hour.

    Requirement

    • HND/bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
    •  Minimum of 2-5 years of proven experience in electrical maintenance engineering.
    • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
    • Good problem-solving and analytics.
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
    • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations (e.g. OSHA, ISO, etc.)
    • Maintenance management systems (CMMS) are a plus.
