    Electrical Engineer (Panel Builder)

    Job Overview

    • An experienced electrical Engineer (Panel Builder) who be responsible for designing, assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels used in industrial and commercial applications.
    • The role ensures panels are built according to engineering drawings, safety standards, and client specifications while maintaining high-quality workmanship and compliance with electrical codes.

    Key Responsibilities
    Design & Technical Work:

    • Interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout designs for panel construction.
    • Design control panel layouts, component placement, and wiring pathways.
    • Select appropriate components such as contractors, relays, circuit breakers, switches, PLCs, and VFDs.
    • Ensure all panel designs meet industry standards (IEC, NEC, etc.) and client requirements.

    Panel Assembly & Wiring:

    • Assemble electrical control panels, mounting components, and labeling terminals.
    • Perform wiring of control panels according to engineering drawings and best practices.
    • Ensure proper cable routing, termination, and connection.
    • Maintain high-quality workmanship with attention to detail and safety

    Testing & Quality Assurance:

    • Conduct functional testing of panels (continuity checks, insulation tests, component testing).
    • Troubleshoot and resolve wiring or component issues during testing.
    • Verify compliance with safety regulations and internal quality standards.

    Documentation & Reporting:

    • Update wiring diagrams when modifications are made during assembly.
    • Prepare testing reports, material usage records, and quality documentation.
    • Provide technical input for bill of materials (BOM) preparation.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or OND/HND in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field.
    • Proven experience in electrical panel building or industrial control systems.
    • Strong understanding of control circuits, power distribution, PLCs, and automation components.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
    • Hands-on experience with wiring tools, testing equipment, and panel assembly processes.
    • Knowledge of relevant electrical standards and safety codes.
    • Good troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
