Job Summary
As the Factory Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting of all electrical systems and machinery within the plant. A key part of your role is ensuring that the injection molding machinesand other equipment are running efficiently to meet production goals. You will design electrical systems, implement solutions to enhance productivity, and work closely with the operations team to reduce downtime. This role demands an experienced engineer with strong technical skills, particularly in injection molding processesand industrial electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical System Design & Development:
- Design and implement electrical systems for production machinery, with a special focus on injection molding machines.
- Develop technical drawings and specifications for electrical components and systems.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to integrate new systems into manufacturing processes.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, including injection molding equipmentand other factory machinery.
- Quickly diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, minimizing production disruptions.
- Establish and execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure smooth operations and extended equipment lifespan.
Optimization of Injection Molding Systems:
- Analyze the performance of injection molding machinesand recommend electrical improvements to enhance production efficiency.
- Ensure proper functioning and calibration of machinery to reduce waste and energy consumption.
Quality Assurance & Safety:
- Ensure that all electrical systems meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical components and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and implement safety measures related to electrical systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits on electrical equipment and processes.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on injection molding processesand machinery.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in injection molding machines, control systems, and industrial electrical systems.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and ability to read and interpret technical schematics.
- Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems related to industrial machinery, including motors, control panels, and VCB/ACB systems.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, especially with injection molding equipment.
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis and develop effective solutions to improve electrical systems.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively across departments.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
