Electrical & Automation Manager - Premium Edible Oil Products Ltd at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

PURPOSE OF THE JOB 

Plan, coordinate, and control all electronics and automation maintenance, installation, and project activities of electrical and electronics systems to ensure the safety, reliability, availability, and effectiveness of the electric power transfer and distribution in the plant. 

THE JOB 

• Oversee the installation of all Electrical and Automation systems within the plant. 
• Supervise and coordinate Automation and Electrical operational staff, ensuring effective allocation and control of work. 
• Optimize the use of labor, materials, and equipment to achieve cost-effective operations. 
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans to ensure operational efficiency. 
• Install and calibrate process transmitters and sensors to maintain system accuracy. 
• Create and update instrumentation documents, including Logic Diagrams, Control Narratives, Instrumented Protection Function Narratives, Wiring Connection Details, and Loop Diagrams. 
• Organize and direct operational staff for maintenance of Electrical and Automation systems in the plant. 
• Prepare detailed requisitions for spare parts, materials, and equipment for installation and maintenance activities. 
• Implement and promote safety practices to ensure the well-being of self and others in the workplace. 

THE PERSON MUST 

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. 
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment  
• Pay high attention to details. 
• Be an excellent team player 
• In-depth knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance strategies. 

QUALIFICATION 

• BSc. In Electrical Engineering 
• MSc in Automation is an added advantage. 
• COREN certified 

EXPERIENCE 

• Minimum of 5 years cognate experience in a similar role
