Our client, a fertilizer manufacturing company based in Abapka, Kaduna, is seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in the Fertilizer Industry.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of bagging machines and product batching systems, along with proficiency in PLC, sensitive load cells, calibration, and troubleshooting.
The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of electrical and instrumentation systems within the plant.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems in the fertilizer manufacturing plant.
Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Ensure the proper functioning of bagging machines and product batching systems.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and execute preventive maintenance tasks.
Conduct regular calibration of sensitive load cells and other instrumentation devices.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Monitor and analyze system performance, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including reports and records.
Comply with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
5-7 years of relevant experience in the Fertilizer Industry, with a focus on electrical and instrumentation systems.
Proficiency in PLC programming, sensitive load cells, calibration techniques, and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of bagging machines and product batching systems.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
