Earth Works Supervisor at Dangote

 Job Summary

To provide support to the Engineer / Manager in respect of supervision of earthworks construction activities related to Agricultural Development Projects, and ensure the projects are completed as per approved designs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise all onsite earthmoving activities.
• Managing earthworks crews, including heavy equipment operators and ground workers.
• Enforcing safety regulations and promoting a safety-conscious work environment, conducting regular safety meetings, and ensuring compliance with all safety standards.
• Monitoring earthmoving activities to ensure they meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Conducting regular site inspections and quality control checks.
• Overseeing the use of equipment, materials, and other resources, ensuring they are utilized effectively and efficiently.
• Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues, ensure smooth workflow, and maintain project timelines.
• Maintaining accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, safety inspections, and any other relevant project documentation.
• Ensure the equipment are fueled on time.
• Report all machinery breakdowns and down times to workshops.
• Supervise all workers at the construction site.
• Identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that arise during the project, finding solutions to keep the project on track.

Educational Qualification and Work Experience

• Degree / HND / ND in Civil Engineering or Engineering Construction.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in earthworks construction.
