• A driver's job description includes thesafe and timely transportation of people or goods, which requires adherence to traffic laws, route planning, and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Key responsibilities include loading/unloading, performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with dispatchers.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Transportation: Operate company vehicles (cars, vans, trucks, or buses) to transport goods, materials, or personnel to specified locations.
• Route planning: Plan and follow efficient routes, considering factors like traffic, road conditions, and delivery requirements, often using GPS navigation.
• Safety and compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations, including seatbelt use and speed limits.
• Loading and unloading: Safely load, unload, and secure cargo or passengers and their belongings.
• Vehicle maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, check fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes, and report any issues for repair.
• Record keeping: Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, deliveries, and any incidents.
• Customer service: Interact with customers, clients, or passengers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate activities.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possesss an OND, HND, or NCe qualification with 6-8 years experience and must have valid driver's license and often a clean driving record.
