Performs maintenance and repair that requires rudimentary/basic technical skills on cars, generators, tricycles and other motorized fleet equipment according to oral or written instruction and supervision by the supervisor.
When on workshop duty, ensure that workshop area and/or job sites are housekept, clean and organized.
Carries out fuelling operations for cars and generators under supervision.
Predispose him/herself to mentorship and on-the-job trainings in other to build upon already acquired skills.
Becomes responsible for all stated functions and responsibilities stated on the driver’s job description document when on driving duty.
Be responsible for his/her personal safety, the safety of others, and the safety of equipment at the job sites by using issued personal protective equipment and strictly adhering to all safety procedures and protocols required.
Constantly updates the workshop supervisor, project mechanic and the head driver with the current parameters needed to plan maintenance activities (current runnning hours of generators, current odometer readings of fleet vehicles, fuel tank level for cars and generators, ……..).
Be predisposed to participate in heavy-lifts and other load handling operations in the workshop and other job sites.
Report without reservation all safety/security incidents and near-miss during the course of carrying out your duties to the line manager.
Exhibit appreciable level of flexibility with time and nature of assigned task; and be ready to summon your talent and will in anticipation of any other miscellaneous duties to be assigned to you by the line manager in the course of work as dictated by the evolution of activities in the project.
