The Dock Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a shipping/receiving dock. This includes ensuring that all cargo is safely and securely loaded/unloaded.
The Dock Supervisor is also responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure that shipments are scheduled and routed properly.
The Dock Supervisor will be responsible for the training, scheduling, and supervision of dock workers
The Dock Supervisor will also be responsible for conducting regular inspections of the loading dock and equipment, as well as maintaining accurate records of dock activities.
The Dock supervisor will ensure proper safety procedures are followed; and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
The Dock Supervisor will over see the dock drivers and all office equipment and machine.
Requirements
Minimum of bachelor’s degree / HND in any relevant engineering field.
Minimum of 5years Proven work experience as a Dock Supervisor or a related role.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
Ability to multitask and work efficiently and effectively under pressure
