District Unclaimed Cargo Coordinator at ZIM Integrated Shipping Services

Job Description

• Generate periodic reports to create visibility of unclaimed and unreturned units across the A5 district.
• Provide preliminary analysis of data and reports to support decision making and qualitative evaluation.
• Monthly generation from TUC to global manager
• Direct and initiate proactive and loss prevention actions with district stakeholders, identify symptoms focusing on sources of problems, follow up at origin and destination offices and activities against liable parties.
• Interface with district agents on units without movement and report to global manager.
• Follow up for recovery of DV from district customers
• Bi – monthly follow up with district team and Export at destination.
• Attendance at monthly virtual meeting with district unclaimed focal points.
• Follow up with district staff is regular for urgent matters.
• Manage District correspondence effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with company’s policy and procedures as well as compliance with the government policies.
• Enforce good data quality and follow up with internal departments and customers on any data issues.
• Ensure all internal systems are duly updated and all records are properly stored and archived.
• Check TUC for delivered shipment and advise agents on closure.
• Interface with logistics on wrong updating
• Monitoring district stock to align with system update.
• Other cognate duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• First degree in in maritime, shipping, or related disciplines
• Between 3-5 years prior experience in similar capacity.
• Strong relationship management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of written and spoken in English
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft office, including Excel, Word, Power Point, Web-based and email programs
