Job Description

• A dispatch rider is responsible for the timely and safe delivery and collection of items like documents, packages, and products using a motorcycle or bicycle.
• Key duties include planning efficient routes, adhering to traffic laws, maintaining the vehicle, verifying delivery information, and ensuring items are delivered intact and in good condition.
• They also handle customer service, record-keeping, and communication with the dispatch team.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery and collection:Picking up and delivering packages, documents, and other goods to designated locations efficiently and on time.
• Route planning:Planning and optimizing the most efficient routes to minimize travel time.
• Safety and compliance:Adhering to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
• Item handling:Ensuring the safe handling and transportation of all goods, ensuring they arrive intact and undamaged.
• Record-keeping:Maintaining accurate records of all deliveries, pickups, and any associated documentation.
• Vehicle maintenance:Performing basic checks on the assigned motorcycle and reporting any mechanical issues or accidents promptly.
• Customer service:Interacting with clients in a professional and respectful manner, and providing proof of delivery through signatures.
• Communication:Staying in communication with the dispatcher and clients regarding delivery status or any issues.
• Payment collection:Collecting payments or processing other necessary transaction documents when required.

Required skills and qualifications

• Valid motorcycle or rider's license and a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a dispatch rider or in a similar delivery role.
