Director, Works & Services at The Federal Polytechnic Idah

The Person

• The Director, Works & Services must be a person of high integrity who demonstrate transparency in public and private lives and likely to command the respect and loyalty of staff of the Polytechnic.
• He/she must also be receptive to new ideas and willing to translate them into action in line with the vision and mission of the Polytechnic.

Functions

• The Director of Works & Services is a Management staff responsible to the Rector and heads the Directorate of Works & Services, coordinates, supervises and maintains the physical development, transportation, general maintenance services and projects of the Polytechnic in such a way as to ensure quality and standard.

Qualifications and Experience
Interested candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Good honours Degree in any of either Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 21 years of cognate work experience, Masters Degree with 18 years cognate work experience or Ph.D with 15 years cognate work experience and in all cases, three of which must be in a position of Chief Engineer.
• Membership and registration with NSE and COREN
• A good knowledge of computer applications.

Terms of Appointment

• The Salary is CONTEDISS 15
• Other terms and conditions of appointment are as provided by the conditions of service of the Federal Polytechnics in Nigeria and as may be determined from time to time by the Federal Government of Nigeria or the Governing Council of the Polytechnic.
