Digital Systems and Data Expert - Transport Governance at GIZ Nigeria

We offer the experience, the regional and technical know-how of GIZ in the global market and provide international clients with expertise in terms of economic and result-oriented services.
• GIZ International Services is shortlisted  for the EU-funded tender: „Technical Assistance to ECOWAS in Transport Governance in West Africa", based in Abuja, Nigeria.
• The overall objective is to promote sustainable, smart, resilient and safe mobility to strengthen land, air and water transport regulatory frameworks in the ECOWAS region.

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills

• A university degree in information technology, data analytics, computer science, AI or a related field.
• Desirable, a post-graduate degree (Master’s level or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Fluency in English or French, with at least good working knowledge of the other language being an asset.
• Strong skills in the design, development, and management of digital information systems and data platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

General professional experience

• At least 15 years of professional experience in digital systems, information management, data analytics, or related fields.
• Experience working in or with developing countries.

Specific professional experience

• At least 5 years of experience in developing and managing digital platforms, databases, or observatories in the fields of transport, logistics, infrastructure, or regional integration.
• Experience with data standards, interoperability, and data governance frameworks is an asset.
• Experience in applying digital tools for monitoring corridor performance, road safety, or logistics flows will be considered an advantage
