The Company is seeking to hire an experienced Dietitian who will be responsible for educating and advising a wide range of patients with diet-related disorders on the practical ways to improve their health by adopting healthier eating habits.
The ideal candidate will provide a high-quality evidence-based service to clients in Primary Care with diet-related and long-term conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop meal plans, evaluate the effects of meal plans, and change the meal plan as needed.
Promote better nutrition by speaking to the customer about diet, and nutrition.
Provide comprehensive assessment and therapeutic dietetic care to clients in weight loss and diabetes prevention clinics.
Undertake comprehensive highly specialist assessments and diagnoses of patients presenting in the clinic with diet-related conditions using specialized clinical knowledge and skills and a broad range of assessment skills, measurements, and techniques.
Negotiate and agree on dietary or nutritional goals with individual patients and/or their parents and carers.
Reassess nutritional requirements and change clinical interventions as appropriate in line with current evidence-based practice.
Plan and deliver individualized nutritional care plans based on comprehensive highly specialist assessments of needs and knowledge of evidence-based practice, modifying the care plans as required.
Respond appropriately to frequent requests for highly specialist Dietetic support which includes those for patients with complex physical health needs with complex clinical and social situations which require detailed analysis and decision-making.
Work autonomously, prioritizing in own work area, balancing all service users related and professional demands.
Requirements
First degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or any other related fields.
2+ years’ experience as a Dietitian or a Nutritionist.
Thorough understanding of nutrition principles, dietary guidelines, and therapeutic diets for different health conditions.
Ability to conduct nutritional assessments, including dietary history and anthropometric measurements.
Able to develop personalized meal plans and provide nutrition counseling.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills to interpret medical records and laboratory results.
Proficiency in using nutrition software and tools to track dietary intake and create meal plans.
Empathy and sensitivity to client needs and concerns.
