    • Basic Function: Incumbent serves as Deputy Motor Pool (MP) Supervisor and back up dispatcher in the MP section of the General Service Office (GSO). directs, coordinates, and plans services provided by the MP office.
    • Responsibilities include scheduling of Boat Pilots, Truck Drivers, Chauffeurs/Motor Cycle Drivers, Dispatchers, and armored and un-armored vehicles, ensuring that they meet requirement expectations as per internal rules and regulations.
    • Procuring and tracking maintenance services; recording all MP activities in appropriate databases; and preparing reports.
    • S/he backs up the MP Supervisor on absence. acts as backup MP timekeeper and performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Evaluations


    • Two (2) years of experience on vehicle fleet management is required. One (1) year experience in a supervisory position is required.

    Job Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of Nigeria motor vehicle practices, traffic laws, vehicle licensing, registration, and procedures is required. Good knowledge of fleet management, and safety norms are required.

    Education Requirements:

    • Completion of secondary school is required.

    • Good working knowledge reading/writing/speaking of English is required.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Must be able to write clearly, read and comprehend documents.
    • Proficiency in computer skills to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and motor pool applications is required.
    • Must have excellent supervisory, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Must understand training manuals and instructions to synthesize training materials into real life skills.
    • Must have a valid Nigeria driver's license.

    Agency Benefits:

The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service.  Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.
