The Dangote Group, one of Nigeria’s most diversified manufacturing conglomerates, is seeking a Deputy Head, HEMM Maintenance to join her team. As the Deputy Head, HEMM Maintenance, you will play a crucial role in the cement manufacturing industry, ensuring the effective maintenance of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM). You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations, optimizing equipment performance, and ensuring the efficient execution of the maintenance strategies. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures, as well as the training and development of the maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance operations of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM)
• Optimize equipment performance by developing and implementing preventive maintenance plans
• Execute maintenance strategies to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and plan equipment maintenance activities
• Develop and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and standards
• Conduct regular equipment inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Train and mentor the maintenance team to enhance their technical skills and knowledge

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 21 years' experience in managing the maintenance and operations of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM)
• Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices and industry standards
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance software systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards in the construction industry
