    Deputy Chief Financial Officer (Deputy CFO)

    Job Description

    We are seeking to hire a Deputy CFO for our client, a market leader in Africa offering affordable and clean solar energy. This individual will be responsible for all financial elements of the accelerated growth strategy and the implementation of best-in-class processes, internal controls, and reporting thereon. S(he) will also ensure the continuous development of the Finance Department.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leading the Finance department – business partnership and delivery on KPIs are the key words
    • Finance planning and analysis – providing clear and executable reports and advice
    • Review of business models for new product and service offerings
    • Budgetary and KPI control and cost management
    • Reporting timely and correct management accounts and statutory accounts
    • Reporting to investors and other stakeholders
    • Reporting to all tax and other regulatory authorities
    • Equity/debt financing strategy
    • Treasury (cash flow management) and payments
    • Procurement
    • Set up and maintenance of internal control environment

    Educational Qualification/Professional Qualification

    • Pro-active, energetic, and no-nonsense leader
    • Team player in the executive team
    • Excellent communication and reporting skills (senior level)
    • Focused on developing him/herself and the team
    • Continuously striving for improvement and resilient
    • High business acumen – streetwise
    • Delegates when possible and hands-on when necessary
    • All round financial professional
    • At least 10 years’ experience as finance professional with a progressive career path
    • Excellent analytical skills combined with attention to detail
    • Hands-on experience with ERP systems
    • Msc /Bsc /HND in Accountancy/ Finance combined with ICAN, ACCA (equivalent) is preferred
    • High integrity is a must.
