Dental Surgery Assistant (Dental Nurse) at Zoom 36 Dental Clinic

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Assist the dentist: Provide chair-side assistance during examinations and dental procedures, such as passing instruments, suctioning, and mixing dental materials. 
• Prepare treatment rooms: Set up the operatory before appointments, ensure all necessary equipment and materials are ready, and clean and disinfect the area afterward according to OSHA regulations. 
• Sterilize instruments: Follow strict infection control protocols to sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment to prevent cross-contamination. 
• Take and develop X-rays: Expose and process dental X-rays, ensuring proper patient positioning and radiation safety measures are followed. 
• Patient education: Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care. 
• Perform lab tasks: Conduct various laboratory duties as directed by the dentist. 
• Patient management: Greet patients, escort them to the treatment room, and manage patient flow. 
• Record keeping: Chart patient data, log information during and after procedures, and update patient records and health histories. 
• Scheduling: Book patient appointments and manage follow-up visits. 
• Billing and insurance: Assist with patient billing and insurance claims.
