Responsibilities

• Delivery: Safely and punctually transport a variety of items to different addresses.
• Route planning: Use GPS or routing software to navigate and follow the most efficient routes and schedules.
• Loading and unloading: Securely load, unload, and inspect items, ensuring they are delivered in good condition.
• Customer service: Interact professionally with customers, confirm deliveries, answer questions, handle complaints, and collect signatures.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, payments, mileage, and expenses, and complete time-sheets and reports.
• Vehicle maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle inspections, report any maintenance needs, and ensure the vehicle is clean and fueled.
• Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, transportation regulations, and company safety policies.

Qualifications

• Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.
• Time management: Strong organizational and time management skills are needed to meet delivery deadlines.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills are required for interacting with customers and dispatchers.
• Customer service: The ability to provide courteous and professional customer service is a must.
• Physical fitness: The physical ability to lift packages, often up to 50 pounds, is frequently required.
