Creative Design Manager (UI / UX) at FlexiSAF Edusoft Limited

Job Summary

• FlexiSAF leverages technology to improve the quality of education in Nigeria and Africa at large. Our purpose is to reinvent learning and promote lifelong learning culture among users. We are looking for a smart-creative and talented individual to lead our  creative team of UI / UI designers, graphics and web designers..
• As a Creative Design Manager, you will be responsible for the design strategy, brand and identity of FlexiSAF and its products.
• You will also lead individuals working with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions for FlexiSAF that aligns with its design principles and brand.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor  the team to continuously  produce outstanding and engaging user experience for all FlexiSAF products.
• Coach your team through reviews and feedback focusing on capacity building,  skills and quality of user-centered design.
• Establish and build upon UI / UX processes that support product excellence while moving and shipping fast
• Conduct Usability Testing to validate design concepts.
• Align with cross-functional product leadership to help inform future roadmaps and turn vision into reality
• Critique in-progress design work, evaluating the priority and effectiveness of solutions.
• Attract, hire and grow a team of designers to support the FlexiSAF product portfolio.
• Contribute thought leadership and design execution towards a long-term FlexiSAF experience strategy and vision.

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in visual user interface design and people management
• Ability to create clean, visually consistent designs.
• In - depth knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, XD, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office; Experience with Sketch and Zeplin are a plus.
• Understanding and appreciation of standard user interface design concepts and processes.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts clearly and persuasively across diverse audiences at various levels of our organization.
• Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple design requests in a timely fashion, with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience testing websites and software on a variety of platforms including iOS and Android mobile and devices.
• Previous experience with user-centered design principles and practices, web / mobile standards, typography and color, and web / mobile usability standards.
• Have contributed as a leader in design and a strong collaborator across product managers and engineers.
• Knowledgeable in creating wireframes, visual mockups graphics, user workflows, and low and high-fidelity prototypes.
• Ability to work with designers and developers to implement new ideas
• Ability to convert mockup to code  (preferably ReactJS) for frontend developer to easily implement
• Experienced UI / UX Developer with extensive knowledge of User experience, User Research and Interface development. 
•  experience as a front-end developer.
• Expert knowledge of CSS, CSS extension languages (Less, Sass), and CSS preprocessor tools. 
• Expert knowledge of HTML5 and its best practices. 
• Expert Knowledge of frontend development technologies such as React, Angular and its likes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
