Job Description

• To safely operate mobile and fixed cranes to support mining, maintenance, plant operations, and logistical activities within the Central Services Department, ensuring efficient handling, lifting, and movement of materials, equipment, and heavy components.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile and overhead cranes to support mining, plant, and maintenance activities.
• Perform safe lifting, moving, and positioning of heavy equipment and materials.
• Conduct daily crane inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Support maintenance teams during equipment repairs and changeouts.
• Maintain crane logs, inspection records, and activity reports.
• Ensure proper use and condition of rigging and lifting accessories.
• Communicate effectively via radio and standard hand signals during operations.

Requirements

• Trade Test, Technical Certificate, or relevant vocational qualification.
• Certified Crane Operator (mobile crane, overhead crane, or equivalent).
• Minimum 2–5 years experience operating cranes in mining, heavy industry, or construction.
• Valid operator license and proof of competency.
• Experience with heavy lifts, rigging principles, and load charts.
