    Control Technician

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Install, calibrate, and maintain control systems and instrumentation (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems).
    • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and control equipment.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve faults in control systems, including hardware and software issues.
    • Interpret electrical drawings, P&lDs, and control schematics.
    • Support commissioning and startup activities for new systems and equipment.
    • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, changes, and system configurations.
    • Liaise with engineers, vendors, and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
    • Assist in upgrading and retrofitting control systems.

    Key Skills 

    • Strong knowledge Of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
    • Familiarity with SCADA, DCS, and HMI systems.
    • Understanding of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/lP).
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawlngs and manuals.
    • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.

    Required Qualifications

    • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, or related field.
    • Relevant technical certifications in PLCs or industrial automation (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) are an advantage.
    • Minimum of 2—5 years' experience in industrial control systems or automation.
