Constuction Engineer at a Construction Company

Job Description:

• Managing the planning and design stages of construction projects.
• Contributing technical expertise to project drawings and designs.
• Performing cost calculations and preparing financial projections.
• Preparing work schedules in collaboration with the project management.
• Liaising between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Overseeing construction engineering processes.
• Performing regular tests on materials and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Ensuring that the construction project is completed on time and within budget.
• Documenting processes and keeping detailed construction logs.
• Presenting construction project progress updates to Project management team.
• Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner
• Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other).
• Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
• Assess potential risks, materials and costs.
• Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies.

List of Roles and Responsibilities (Minimum 5):

• Daily site engineering tasks, report writing status reports, daily reports, schedules, read engineering drawings, take-offs.
• Assistant and support the project Management and construction team.
• Make sure that projects meet legal guidelines, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements.
• Supervise construction resources
