Concrete Mixer Operator at African Industries Group (AIG)

Job Description

• We are seeking a reliable, experienced Concrete Mixer Operator to join our construction operations in Odongunyan, Ikorodu.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining concrete mixing equipment, ensuring timely and high-quality concrete supply for construction projects, and working closely with the site team to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor concrete mixer machinery safely and efficiently.
• Mix concrete batches according to specified project ratios and quality standards.
• Load and unload materials (cement, sand, gravel) as needed.
• Clean and maintain mixer equipment and the workplace after each shift.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate concrete delivery schedules.
• Adhere strictly to safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.
• Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an OND / NCE qualification with 4-10 years of experience.
• Proven experience as a Concrete Mixer Operator or in a similar role in construction.
• Knowledge of concrete mixing ratios, materials handling, and mixer maintenance.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Good understanding of safety practices on construction sites.
• Reliability, discipline, and good teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings or extended hours when needed.
• Must be based in or willing to commute to Odongunyan / Ikorodu, Lagos.
