Compressor Mechanic at Jaykay Group

Role Summary

• We are looking for a compressor mechanic to maintain, repair,and overhaul various types of compressors, including those used in the industry's natural gas, and air compressor systems.
• You will be responsible to diagnose problems, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all machines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair compressors, engines, pumps, and related equipment.
• Identify mechanical, electrical, and other system failures using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Disassemble, inspect,repair, and reassemble compressor components.
• Conduct regular inspections, oil and fluid analysis, and other preventative measures to minimize downtime.
• Work in compliance with safety regulations and ensuring the safe operation of equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Provide technical advice and support to clients on compressor maintenance and repairs.
• Install, commission, and start up new compressor systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Requirements
Experience:

• 2 - 5 years of experience in troubleshooting industrial or commercial mechanical systems, with specific experience in compressed air systems.

Education:

• OND or SSCE certificate
• An apprenticeship certificate from a workshop is an added advantage

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and other system issues.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and reading technical manuals.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and working in various conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and the Head of Department.
