To be successful as a company driver, you should ensure that all transportation duties are carried out in a timely manner. Ultimately, a top-performing company driver should be able to ensure that addresses and other transportation details are correct before undertaking any pick-up or drop-off duties.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Drive staff/principal daily to their assigned/desired destinations
Use navigation apps (e.g. google maps) to determine the best route
Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
Ensure that the vehicle fuel tank is never low, by completing fuel vouchers in a timely manner
Assist with loading and unloading items/luggage
Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up to date on road conditions
Ensure that all passengers in the vehicle use their seat belts
Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
Report all issues to supervisor or Protocol and Logistics officer (where applicable)
Ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders
Schedule regular car service appointments and report any repair/maintenance/car paper issues to the Protocol and Logistics officer
Ensure that the vehicle interior is always clean and tidy
Work at any location (mainland or island)
Remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
Knowledge of area roads, streets and neighbourhoods
Availability to occasionally work on Sundays, Public Holidays, and late nights.
Key Requirements
Minimum academic qualification of an Ond/Diploma SSCE
Minimum working experience of 5 years
The candidate must have settled for driving as an occupation
Ability to be able to read and write
Must live within the Island (Lekki, Ajah, Sangotedo, Awoyaya Axis)
