Community Outreach Volunteers (Humanitarian & Development Programs) at Sim Impacting Lives Foundation

Role Overview

• SILF is recruiting committed and passionate Community Outreach Volunteers to join our growing volunteer network and support ongoing outreach activities across multiple communities.
• This is not a one-time engagement.
• Selected volunteers will be engaged periodically across various interventions throughout the year.
• This is a volunteer (non-paid) role. No monetary compensation is provided.

Program Focus Areas

Humanitarian Support (Including Malaria Intervention)

• Volunteers will support life-saving humanitarian activities, including:
• Malaria testing, treatment, and community awareness
• Distribution of insecticide-treated mosquito nets (ITNs)
• Food distribution to vulnerable households
• Clothing and non-food item (NFI) distribution
• Outreach in IDP camps and crisis-affected communities
• Emergency and community-based relief interventions

Women & Youth Empowerment

• Volunteers may support empowerment-focused programs, including:
• Skills development (digital, vocational, leadership)
• Entrepreneurship and small business support
• Career coaching and employability programs
• Financial literacy and inclusion initiatives
• Programs supporting vulnerable women, youth, and persons with disabilities

Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)

• Volunteers may also contribute to:
• Community mental health awareness and sensitization
• Psychosocial support activities in communities and IDP settings
• Support for vulnerable individuals, including GBV survivors
• Anti-stigma campaigns and resilience-building programs

Key Responsibilities

Volunteers will:

• Support community mobilization and outreach activities
• Assist in malaria intervention and humanitarian distributions
• Participate in awareness campaigns and sensitization programs
• Support beneficiary registration and basic data collection
• Provide logistics and field support during interventions
• Represent SILF professionally and uphold community dignity and inclusion

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking individuals who:

• Are passionate about humanitarian work and community development
• Are available for ongoing/periodic volunteer engagement
• Reside in or can easily access the target locations
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills
• Are reliable, proactive, and committed
• Have prior volunteer or NGO experience (an added advantage)
