Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) at Careline City Hospital

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Serving as a link person between the hospital and the community and between the hospital and relevant governmental agencies
• Monitoring of patients' vital signs
• Patient education through health talks and counselling
• Participation in antenatal care and conduction of deliveries in low-risk pregnancies
• Performing simple bedside tests using appropriate test strips and other simple tools
• Administration of first aid in emergency situations
• Assisting with medication administration where appropriate
• Supervision of lower-level staff, such as health attendants

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or HND in Community Health
