Communications Officer at Transport Services Limited

Role Summary

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Communications Officer with strong graphic design expertise to support the Corporate Communications Manager in developing and implementing internal and external communication programs that align with TSL’s organizational objectives and corporate communications strategy.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping the company’s visual storytelling across digital and print platforms, ensuring all communication materials are engaging, on-brand, and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of internal and external communication initiatives across social media, print, and online platforms.
• Translate communication briefs into compelling visual concepts that inspire, inform, and captivate diverse audiences.
• Manage the full creative process from defining design requirements to final production, including illustrations, logos, layouts, and imagery.
• Develop creative concepts and layouts for social media campaigns, newsletters, websites, reports, corporate materials, and event branding.
• Contribute to the visual direction of websites, exhibitions, presentations, and other brand touchpoints in line with established brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand communication needs, provide creative guidance, and advise on design styles, formats, timelines, and production processes.
• Manage design projects from concept through typesetting, print, and final production, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Determine project requirements, scope, and budgets where necessary, ensuring cost-effective delivery.

Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field from an accredited institution (or equivalent qualification).

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ post-graduate experience in graphic design, preferably within a corporate or communications environment.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver).
• Working knowledge of CorelDRAW and QuarkXPress is an added advantage.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to view designs from the audience’s perspective and ensure alignment with communication objectives.
• Demonstrated artistic ability to create visually appealing and engaging designs for both internal and external audiences.
