    Communications Intern

    Position Overview

    • The Communications Intern will support the Communications team in creating and executing communications that enhance LFGA’s visibility, showcase its programmes and impact and engage stakeholders. The intern will work closely with the Operations & Communications Team Lead to develop creative, organised and impactful content aligned with the organisation’s vision and goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    Content Creation Support

    • Assist in creating captions, newsletters, reports and other communication materials.

    Social Media Support

    • Assist in developing and preparing content for LFGA’s Instagram and LinkedIn platforms.

    Newsletter Support

    • Assist with the preparation and distribution of the organisation’s bi-monthly newsletter.

    Media & Communications Administration

    • Assist with routine media monitoring and research.

    Team & General Support

    • Work closely with the Operations & Communications Team Lead on assigned communications activities.
    • Provide support to team members when required.

    Key Competencies & Skills

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Creativity and an ability to develop engaging content.
    • Good knowledge of social media platforms, particularly Instagram and LinkedIn.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Good research and information-gathering skills.
    • Good organisational and time-management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and familiarity with digital content tools.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
    • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and receive feedback.
    • Professionalism, confidentiality, and a strong sense of responsibility.

    Educational Requirements

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Communications, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Studies, Journalism, or a related field.
    • Relevant practical experience in content creation, social media management, communications, or media is an added advantage.
