Job Summary

• We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager (Mechanical) to lead and oversee the commissioning of mechanical systems on offshore production facilities.
• This is a senior-level expatriate position under the Production Operations Fitters family, ideal for professionals with extensive mechanical commissioning experience in offshore environments such as FPSOs or drilling rigs.
• As the Commissioning Manager (Mechanical), you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful commissioning of all mechanical systems.
• You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage timelines, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards to achieve seamless system handover to operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the mechanical commissioning plan, ensuring alignment with project specifications and schedules.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment, including turbines, compressors, pumps, and pipelines.
• Coordinate and lead commissioning activities across all project phases, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and contractor teams to troubleshoot and resolve commissioning issues.
• Conduct and document inspections, equipment validations, and system tests.
• Lead the preparation and implementation of punch lists for mechanical systems, ensuring all identified issues are resolved prior to handover.
• Provide leadership and direction to commissioning teams, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of tasks.
• Report progress to senior management and provide recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical commissioning, with at least 5 years in FPSO or offshore oil and gas environments.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Extensive knowledge of offshore mechanical systems, including rotating and static equipment.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning protocols, documentation, and standards.
• Safety Training: Offshore safety certifications such as BOSIET, HUET, or equivalent are mandatory.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in complex offshore environments.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work in remote offshore locations and adapt to challenging environments.
