    Commercial Lead, Fresh

    Job Summary

    • Core Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Operations: Develop and execute sales strategies for poultry, seafood, and other fresh products, ensuring widespread distribution and growth.
    • Supplier & Importer Relations: Manage and cultivate relationships with suppliers and importers to guarantee a consistent supply of high-quality fresh products.
    • Supply Chain Management: Implement and oversee supply chain strategies that maintain product freshness and optimize delivery.
    • Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all operations comply with both local and international regulations related to the import and sale of fresh products.

    Job Details

    Required Skills & Competencies

    • Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the fresh products sector, especially poultry and seafood, and understanding of import regulations.
    • Project Management- Plan, forecast and manage all Fresh backward integration projects with the team.
    • Negotiation: Excellent negotiation skills with experience in managing supplier and importer relationships.
    • Analytical Thinking: Ability to use data and analytics for decision-making and strategy formulation.
    • Strategic Insight & Customer Centricity: Demonstrate the ability to think long-term and globally, ensuring decisions prioritise customer satisfaction and engagement.
    • Ownership & Accountability: Exhibit a strong sense of ownership and accountability, making decisions with the company's long-term interest in mind, and seeing projects through from inception to completion.
    • Innovative Problem-Solving: Display inventiveness, simplicity in solutions, and the ability to tackle complex challenges with creative problem-solving.
    • Adaptability & Continuous Learning: Show eagerness to learn new technologies and business models, adapting quickly to changing environments and acquiring new skills to stay ahead.

    Technical Skills

    • Advanced Analytics & Insight Generation: Proficiency in utilising advanced analytics to generate insights and inform strategy, with a keen eye on market trends and customer behaviour.
    • Financial Management & Budgeting: Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to maximise ROI and drive growth.
    • Data Analysis : Proficient in data analysis tools and methodologies to monitor sales performance and market trends.
    • Financial Acumen : Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial management skills to oversee departmental budgets effectively.
    • CRM Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems to enhance customer relationships and sales tracking.
    • Sales Strategy & Execution: Deep understanding of fresh sales strategies and the ability to implement effective sales processes.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 6 years in leadership roles within the fresh sector, with a proven track record in sales management, managing a team of at least 10.
    • Proven track record of achieving growth targets.
    • Experience in the fresh industry is a must.
    • Experience with end-to-end go-to-market strategies is a plus.
