College Librarian at Katsina State College of Nursing Sciences

Job Description

• The College Librarian is the Chief Librarian of the College. He is responsible to the Provost for ensuring the fulfillment of the objectives of the library and for maintaining and promoting efficiency and good discipline in the library.

Qualifications and Experience

• B.Sc, B.LS or B.A in Library Science from a recognized Tertiary
• Institution, plus at least 10 years Teaching and Administrative Experience in a recognized Institution.
• In addition, the candidates should have a very good overall performance with a record of Academic and Administrative confidence as well as concrete evidence of contribution to the advancement of knowledge and service to the Community.
• He must be a registered member of a relevant professional body.

Term of Appointment

• The successful candidate shall be appointed for a term of Four (4) years in the first instance and may be eligible for re-appointment for another term of Four (4) years.

Salary
The salary for the position is consolidated and the appointee shall be paid other benefits as may be approved from time to time by the Katsina State Government.
