We are seeking a Cold Room Operator to join our team to handle and organize our range of dairy products, mainly yogurts. The ideal candidate should have hands on experience with FMCG products, especially low-value, fast-moving items, and should demonstrate a strong understanding of FIFO principles and accurate stock management.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, arrange, and store dairy products (mainly yogurts) in the cold room according to company SOPs and FIFO (First-In-First-Out) method.
Perform daily stock counts to ensure accuracy between physical stock and system records.
Monitor and maintain proper cold room temperature and hygiene standards to ensure product quality and safety.
Prepare products for dispatch according to delivery schedules and order requirements.
Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or expired items promptly to the supervisor.
Maintain organized storage to allow quick access and efficient handling of fast-moving, low-value products.
Collaborate with inventory, logistics, and sales teams to ensure smooth stock flow and timely fulfillment of orders.
Follow safety, quality, and operational procedures while working in the cold environment.
Requirements:
Previous experience in handling FMCG products, preferably dairy or chilled items.
Knowledge and practical experience applying FIFO in cold storage.
Experience working with fast-moving, low-value items.
Proven track record of accurate stock counts and stock reconciliation.
Ability to work efficiently in cold environments.
Basic knowledge of inventory systems is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
