Cinematographer at Baselinks Consult

We are looking for professional and creative cinematographers who will work closely with our existing team of creatives and the creative director to produce tough notch visual contents including commercials, ads video and coverage. For this role, we need a good team player, excellent communicator, creative and independent thinker that can decide what the audience sees, how they see it, and when they see it.

Responsibilities

• Planning the production schedule in conjunction with the director, production manager, and producer
• Coordinating with the director of photography to make sure they are using the same equipment and techniques during filming
• Analyzing the screenplay, characters, and story structure and deciding on a visual approach with the director.
• Conducting research regarding available locations, props, sun position, and weather conditions at the prospective film sites.
• Training crew to safely use of new and modified equipment.
• Expanding networks and maintaining relationships with industry professionals.
• Selecting and sourcing required equipment, tools, and crew members.
• Approving costumes, make-up, and hair, as well as the color and textures used on set.
• Taking notes about lighting conditions at each shooting location to ensure repeatability of looks in different scenes throughout the movie
• Communicating with other members of the film crew such as producers, directors, actors, and crew members to ensure that all parties are on the same page regarding details of production
• Shooting footage using a movie camera or digital video camera to create the “rough cut” of a film
• Editing footage using specialized computer software to create a film’s final cut

Requirements and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in film, cinematography, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a cinematographer or director of photography
• Proficient in industry-standard camera equipment and software
• Strong understanding of lighting, composition, color, and other visual elements
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Creative and Professional Editing skills
• Project management
• Stamina and physical strength.
• The ability to work long hours and spend time away from home.
• A passion for film, good eye for detail, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
